Annette Nordstrøm visiting.
The last few days it has been a bit quiet on our blog, but behind the scenes it is boiling! We are finally finished with the renovation of the small farm and back to full time work again after the autumn holidays. But before we share with you the renovation result from here, we want to show you how the finished result of the suites was in Lofoten on Solsiden Brygge.
This summer we have taken the trip back to Solsiden Brygge in Ballstad. This rorbu hotel has its own charm that you will soon forget and long to return to. This year, as last year, the place delivers on all expectations and more than that.
Then it was Monday again and a new week is coming. Annette is planning a working week in Lofoten in March and is looking forward to visiting her favorite place Solsiden Brygge and the cozy vintage restaurant Himmel & Havn. Just look at the pictures under what a wonderful atmosphere they have created on site with a harmonious mix of used furniture and photo art.
In recent days, there has been a full roll in Lofoten with paint, styling and photography. Then it was incredibly nice to be invited to a gourmet evening and wine tasting at Himmel og Havn. Britt Jorunn and Frida who run the restaurant are visited by Marie Wiik who is a sommelier. She will help them compose a wine menu for summer dishes at the restaurant. Tom and I were so lucky to get an all-night introduction to the new menu with magically good dishes and delicious wines.
Then the last day of Lofoten was the trip here. This journey was far too short, I would like to stay at least another week here in paradise. But this weekend I am going to Finland for my uncle's 70th birthday so then this Lofoten trip was shorter than usual.
One of the best things about the Lofoten visits is all the outdoor activities. This summer we were out with SUP (read about it here) and paddled but now in the harsh winter weather it is kayaking that counts. Yesterday I was with Markus and Odd Bjørn on a long trip for a couple of hours in the shed before the evening.
Then I was home from Lofoten. Last night Tootsie and I landed at Gardermoen after a week in wonderful northern Norway.
